Waggle
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Waggle (“Waggle,” “we,” or “us”) handles information in the Waggle mobile application and its related services (the “App”). It is subject to and incorporated into the Terms of Use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated policy with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after an update is subject to the then-current policy.
Beekeeping data you create. Apiaries, hives, queens, inspections, treatments, harvests, tasks, notes, and photos you enter are stored locally on your device. If you choose to sign in, this data is synced to your private cloud account so you can use it across your devices. Photos remain on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
Account information. If you sign in, we receive a basic identifier from your chosen provider (Apple or Google) — such as a user id, and, if you allow it, your name and email — used only to create and secure your account and to sync your data.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to Waggle Premium, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store. We (via our payments partner, RevenueCat) receive your subscription status — not your payment card details.
Usage analytics. We collect coarse, privacy-safe product-analytics events (for example, “paywall viewed” or “inspection logged”) to understand which features are used. These events do not include your notes, names, locations, photos, or other personal content.
Location. If you add an apiary location or use the weather feature, approximate coordinates you provide are used to fetch local weather and to pin the apiary. Location is only collected when you grant permission and enter it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your beekeeping content for advertising.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 and will promptly delete any that is inadvertently collected.
We share the limited information described above only with the providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed:
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the App. If Waggle is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may transfer to the successor entity subject to this policy.
You own your beekeeping data. Within the App you can view, edit, and delete your records at any time, and you can delete your account entirely. Deleting your account permanently removes your data from our active servers; residual copies may remain on encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten. Because the App is offline-first, deleting the App from your device also removes the local copy of your data.
We use reasonable technical measures — including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls that restrict your synced data to your account — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to protect the device and the sign-in account you use with Waggle.
The App is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S. as described in this policy.
