Welcome to Rooted. By downloading or using the Rooted application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using the App.
By creating an account or using any part of the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and that you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Rooted is a Bible reading and devotional application that provides daily scripture passages, AI-generated study content, audio narration, and progress tracking. The App offers both a free tier and a premium subscription.
Rooted Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew at the same price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly stated at the time of purchase. Your Apple ID will not be charged during the free trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your Apple ID will be billed. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription during the trial period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. On your device, go to:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Rooted Premium features until that date. We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription periods. All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with their terms.
We may change subscription prices at any time. If we increase prices, we will notify you in advance. Continued use of Rooted Premium after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@dossdev.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

All content within the App — including AI-generated study notes, summaries, reflection questions, audio narration, and the Rooted name and logo — is the property of Rooted or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Scripture text is sourced from publicly available translations per their respective licenses (KJV: public domain; NIV, ESV, NLT: used under license).
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account will permanently erase your reading progress, streak history, notes, bookmarks, and personal data from our servers within 30 days. If you have an active subscription, deleting your account does not automatically cancel it — you must cancel your subscription separately through your Apple ID settings before deleting your account.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ROOTED AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time as described in Section 8.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
